Jose Mourinho confirms Chelsea return
CHELSEA manager-to-be Jose Mourinho has revealed that he will seal his Stamford Bridge comeback by the end of this week.
Mourinho was last night ironing out the finer details of his £12 million-a-year, four-year-contract with Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich.
And
the exiting Real Madrid coach has claimed he could be announced as
interim boss Rafa Benitez's Blues replacement in the coming days.
"I'm going to London on Monday and at the end of the week I will be the manager of Chelsea," Mourinho told Portuguese TV show Punto Pelota.
"I feel the people there love me and in life you have to look for that.
Life is beautiful and short and you must look for what you think is best
for you."
Mourinho's return to West London is certain to be
welcomed by Chelsea fans, who struggled to accept Benitez during his
season-long reign.
But the 50-year-old is not insistent on splashing Abramovich's cash this time around, having told the Russian chief that he only needs to be granted one major acquisition this summer.
