LIVERPOOL signing Lazar Markovic believes his new side can challenge Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal and Chelsea for the Premier League title.
The ambitious 20-year-old Serbian international only put pen to paper on a long-term deal this evening, but has already set his sights on winning silverware with the Merseyside club.
In an interview with LFCTV, the winger said: "I watched every game and they played absolutely superb.

"It is a shame they did not win the title - but I hope we will win it this season."
The youngster boasts an incredible resume, having contributed seven goals as Benfica sealed a domestic treble and reached the Europa League final.

He continued to say: "I am very happy that I have joined such a great club.

"I hope that I will fulfil the expectations of the supporters, coaches, players and all connected to the club.
"I was delighted and increased my efforts in playing and training at the prospect of joining such a great club."

The 20-year-old constitutes Brendan Rodgers' fourth summer signing, after Rickie Lambert, Adam Lallana and Emre Can.

And with a reported kitty of £125m, it's a safe bet to assume Markovic won't be the Northern Irishman's last transfer.
