JOSE MOURINHO has vigourously defended his Chelsea record and claims this season shouldn't be considered a failure if it ends trophyless.
The Blues saw their Champions League hopes evaporate on Wednesday with defeat to Atletico Madrid in the semi-finals.

The Premier League represents the Blues' only hope of silverware this season, though they need to win their last two games and hope Liverpool and Manchester City drop points.

And Mourinho launched into a tirade which mirrored his attack on Arsene Wenger, whom he claims is a "specialist in failure".

"I'm going to tell you something -- a bit of the history of my career," Mourinho said.

"My career reached, against Inter, the maximum you can reach when you win everything. In 2010, I won everything: Scudetto, Coppa Italia, the Champions League.

"After that, this is the history of my career. In the first season [after 2010], I won the [Spanish] cup against the best team in the world [Barcelona] and finished second in the league after the best team in the world, and I lost the Champions League semifinal against the best team in the worldChelsea, CFC, Blues, Jose Mourinho, title, Champions League
