Acqua di Cristallo Tributo a Modigliani – $60,000 for a 1.25 ml bottle

The world’s most expensive bottle of water is truly unique. Designed by Fernando Altamirano of Tequila Ley, who holds the records for the world’s most expensive tequila and cognac bottles, the 24k gold-coated
bottle is based on the work of late Italian painter and sculptor Amedeo Clemente Modigliani. It holds 1.25 ml of blended spring water from France and the Fiji Islands, as well as glacier water from Iceland.

The world’s most expensive bottled water went up for auction on March 4th, 2010. Proceeds from the auction went to the Planet Foundation.

Altamirano also produced a similar “dummy” bottle of gold, silver and platinum festooned with 6,000 diamonds. It was valued at $3.3 million.
